Fall Decor

okay; I dont claim to be an amazing decorator or anything, but here's what I've done in my own home to decorate for fall on my budget! Of course, all thanks to hobby lobby.

Table. I love my lanters and glass cake dome. Perfect for filling up with fall decor; or any decor for that matter.

Fireplace. I like to keep it pretty clean and simple. Not too over the top. It would however, be amazing to get a fall wreath!

love, love, love my apothecary jars. I decorate them for all the holidays. Just add a few sparkly pumpkins
Got this little pumpkin at target for 50% off after Halloween!A few apples in my bell jar and a garland of leaves

Its the little touches that makes the atmosphere really come together. And of course, Pumpkin Marshmellow in my Scentsy Warmers! Love it. Happy fall! Now who's ready for Christmas?! I TOTALLY am!

Christmas Wish Lists!

I saw this idea on Pinterest to make christmas wish lists, where the kids can clip pictures! I thought it was super cute, and attempted my own Christmas Wish List for the kids! Its not super amazing or elaborate, but its cute and I think the kids will really love it! And look, the youngest member already has a picture clipped!

For an additional option, snap a picture of the completed list and email to grandparents!

ps. My husband asked where his list is

My Easter Mantle

I finally found my Easter Tub! We're hosting Easter at our house on Saturday (plus an egg hunt for the kids), so I needed to get my Easter stuff up ASAP! My husband and I LOVE doing the kids Easter Baskets and getting tons of candy. We know its NOT what Easter is all about, and we certainly don't try to make it about the candy. But we do love our peanut butter eggs, up in the Twitty household!

Dont miss out on my cooking blog! Last posts; Chunky beef stew and Apple Ginger Pork Chops! HERE

Here are some pictures of my Easter mantle. I would love to get some more nests and eggs, but unless I find them SUPER cheap, i'm just too cheap to buy them.

1st birthday inspiration

Our babies first birthday is coming up in May. I CANT believe it; seriously. It makes me sad to think how big he's getting, but so happy and excited for each new stage with him! One of his favorite things is balls. So I think for his party, Im just going to get plates and stuff that are polka dots like ball pit balls, and go off that. He has a little ball pit, and I thought it would be cute to use the balls to decorate with. Also, I may fill a baby pool outside, with some ball pit balls. Here are some inspirational pictures! Come dream with me (because I'm too cheap to do anything close to these pictures! And lets face it; with 4 kids, a huge blow out expensive party just doesn't happen!)
Love these cupcake toppers

LOVE this cake! I wonder if I can do it....I like the apothecary jars with candy too! Im sure I can do that Love all the bright colors here Another super cute, not profesional, polka dot cake
Cute idea for cupcakes!
Now here's a cheap way to get polka dots; colored plates!
Love this.
Polka dot cups
polka dot plates

Cute ideas huh?! All it takes is money and the imagination!

Touches of Fall

Who says you can't decorate for fall with a Christmas tree?! Get some orange lights, and its just fine for fall!

I LOVE going to Hobby Lobby the day after Halloween, and picking up more pumpkins on sale. I have my eye on more white ones. :)

Keira's Sweet Shoppe Birthday

We didn't know exactly where we were going to be, for Keira's 5th birthday. We actually ended up driving back to Houston on her birthday, so we decided to have a little birthday party for her in Dallas before we left. She decided she wanted a Sweet Shoppe birthday party, and it was fun to put together! We were able to celebrate with my family, which was fun since we're never with them for any of our birthdays! Edwin and I were also able to invite and spend some time, with a few of our best friends that live in Dallas! Here are some pictures of the evening.

The outside table with tattoos, party poppers, and silly string
Party poppers
Paper lanterns, streamers, candy, oh my!
The mini candy bar. I used martini glasses to do this on a smaller scale

Party hats and party blowers, line the fireplace

Party room (remember not to turn the fan on!)
Can't get enough of these lanterns!
The candy truffle; flavored marshmallows, multi colored twizzlers, gum balls, and mini marshmallows gives this some pizzaz!

The cupcake tier; I added some fun lollipops to each cupcake. Keep the wrappers on, so they can put them in their goodie bags!

Are you ready to party?!
Dig in (sorry the lighting is so bad in this picture!)
Keira's tattoo on her foot. She loves the ichthus tattoo on my foot!

Time to sing! (all sweaty from playing outside!)
Rainbow cupcakes with light pink sprinkles; yummy!
